In Salford, we have started a collaborative programme with general practice and public health to increase the uptake of Health Checks.
We aim to deliver health checks to 8500 people from April 2014 to March 2015. The learning from this programme is being shared with directors of public health in central and south via our links to the regional health checks oversight group coordinated through the GM regional director of public health. In 2015, we will archive the learning and, if appropriate, support the delivery of a MAHSC primary care collaborative to share the learning from the Salford demonstrator across primary care in central and south Manchester. This programme is creating a re-useable coalition of MAHSC public health and primary care practitioners.
