MAHSC-CTU is a UKCRC registered clinical trials unit, providing expertise in the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials. We work in partnership with clinical and academic investigators wishing to develop and deliver high quality clinical trials.
The unit manages a range of public and commercially funded studies from single-centre non-interventional studies to large multicentre clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (CTIMPs). In particular the unit has proven success in studies in the following disease areas:
- Inflammation and repair
- Mental health
- Women’s and children’s health
The unit is a founder member of the North West Surgical Trials Centre and the North West Clinical Trials Collaboration, and a member of the NCRI Cancer CTU Working Group. Its methodologists play a leading role in the MRC North West Hub for Trials Methodology Research.
MAHSC-CTU provides support and expertise to investigators, from the early stage of formulating research questions and trial design, through to set-up and conduct of trials, and to analysis and reporting:
