Working with industry

Manchester is at the forefront of development and commercialisation in the biomedical sector, with a comprehensive asset base across MAHSC including The University of Manchester – which has the largest number of industry partnerships of any UK university – and six NHS organisations.

The wealth of expertise and first-class infrastructure among our partners supports a thriving health technology hub.

This includes Europe’s first campus-based bio incubator, which remains one of the largest and most successful in Europe, with links to extensive specialist accommodation facilities.

MAHSC works closely with The Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Local Enterprise Partnership and both local (MIDAS) and national (UKTI) inward investment agencies in order to provide opportunities for collaboration with business of considerable value to both the local economy and to our industrial partners.
