MAHSC all-party event is a success
June 8th 2011
MPs and Peers with an interest in health, research, innovation and Greater Manchester were invited to hear for themselves the pioneering work being undertaken by MAHSC at a special inaugural all-party supported event at the House of Commons. Professor Ian Jacobs, MAHSC's Director and Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences at the University of Manchester spoke of Manchester as a city of firsts with a proud tradition; explained the organisation's vision and launched the Great Manchester Health Experiment - another first which has never been attempted anywhere in the world before and takes place on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
